New Public Management

New public management is a topical phrase to describe how management techniques from the private sector are now being applied to public services. Jan-Erik Lane is Professor of Political Science at the University of Geneva, and adjunct professor at the Norwegian School of Management. His previous publications include New Institutional Politics, The Public Sector and Constitutions and Political Theory.
